Airport

Yesterday my class and I went to the Albany International airport and we learned about Million Air which is for private plans and jets there are special places just for the pilots. The food is free and fresh every hour. I also went thru security for the first time in my life it was kind of scary but a cool experience at the same time. I really enjoyed this place it was cool to learn about all the stuff they and to know we have one of the best airports in the country is totally amazing.

Homewood suites

On 3/31/09 my class and I went to Homewood suites, and saw the gorgeous new hotel. The feel of Homewood is welcoming and comforting, walking into the rooms you can feel a sense of home. I loved the fact that the guests are long term because then they can get a sense of who really works there instead of some faker that barely talks and tries to as polite as possible, this way guests can really get to know you.

Visitor Center

on march 23rd my class and I went to the visitors center in Quackenbush Square. It was fun for me because i havent been there since i was little. While we were there we saw a little presentation on Henry Hudson and the history of Albany in the planetarium part. After the little show we walked around and got to look at the exhibit.

Mansion Hill Inn

My class and I went to the Mansion Hill Inn instead of the marriott on 3/17/09. This property is actually owned by my LMP teacher Steve Stofelano. I liked the majority of the property, some rooms more then others. This isnt like the other places my class has visited this is much, much smaller compared to the major chains or large hotels in general. Although this isnt as large it seemed more fun to be at because its much more intimate instead a all together feeling like at the Mansion you get a sense of them really knowing you instead of being a part of the other 300 guests. This little place only has 8 bedrooms and at the most 3 cooks on a daily. Mansion Hill Inn is mostly run by Steve his wife and his daughter although when its busy he tends to get more help in the kitchen.
